Miguel Rocha Fernandes is a prominent figure in the Algarve tech ecosystem, currently serving as Treasurer and President of Algarve Evolution since April 2018, where efforts focus on enhancing regional technological growth. As the Founder of Dengun since January 2006, Miguel has successfully expanded the company to 70 team members and over 600 clients, primarily concentrating on international business development. Miguel also holds the position of Global Class City Lead for Algarve, Portugal, since December 2022, promoting initiatives for aspiring global entrepreneurs. Additionally, Miguel founded ActivBookings in January 2013, a booking management platform for recreational tourism activities, and previously established HDS - Hotel Digital Strategy, a web agency providing digital marketing services. Miguel's leadership experience includes serving as President of the Núcleo de Electrónica e Informática da Universidade do Algarve from May 2007 to January 2009, contributing to the organization of conferences in the tech sector. Educational background includes a degree from Universidade do Algarve (2003-2007) and high school at Escola Portuguesa de Macau (1999-2001).
