Willem van Heerden is a software developer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently employed at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since April 2024, Willem previously held positions at Den Creative from August 2020 to April 2024 and completed a junior web developer internship at Variable X from October 2019 to April 2020, where hands-on experience was gained in web development frameworks and related technologies. Earlier in the career, Willem worked as an IT support technician at Ex Africa Rekenaars from February 2016 to February 2017. Educationally, Willem holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Programming from Eduvos (2018 - 2021) and a Higher Certificate in Information Systems from CTI Education Group (2017 - 2018).
