Michelle Gieg has extensive experience in educational leadership, serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff at Democracy Prep Public Schools since March 2014, with progression through various high-level roles including Interim Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations. Prior to this, Gieg held significant positions at Teach For America from August 2008 to March 2014, culminating as Senior Managing Director of the Institute. Gieg also began their career as a teacher in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System from August 2006 to August 2008. Gieg is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Education Management at Yale School of Management, following a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Louisiana State University obtained in 2006.
