Eric Townson is the CTO of Demand Works. Eric has over 25 years of experience in supply chain management and software development. Eric has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Northeastern University.

Townson began their career as a project manager at Cabot Corporation, where they led the development and implementation of several supply chain planning applications. In 1993, they founded APSI, a software development company specializing in supply chain planning applications. At APSI, Townson developed OptiPlan, one of the first Windows-based planning packages, and OptiCap, a mixed-integer LP for finite capacity planning. In 1999, they joined SCT Corporation as principal architect, where they developed the Java application server Demand Planning module.

Townson has been with Demand Works since its inception in 2003. Eric has played a key role in the development of the company's flagship product, Supply Chain planner. Under their leadership, the Demand Works team has won numerous awards for innovation and technology leadership.

Eric Townson graduated from Auburn University.
