Jing Zhu is a Scientist II at DEM Biopharma, Inc., focusing on immunotherapeutics targeting novel signals on cancer cells to eliminate tumors. Previously, as a Senior Scientist at Evelo Biosciences, Jing Zhu investigated immunoregulatory mechanisms for inflammatory diseases, and during a postdoctoral role at Virginia Tech, researched the induction of regulatory B cells in a lupus murine model. Jing Zhu's early career included research on autoimmune diseases as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech and an internship at the Institution of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, where the regulation of mRNA transport was examined. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Animal Sciences from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering from Huazhong Agricultural University.
