Marcus Smith has over 25 years of work experience. Marcus started their career at BT in 1993, where they held various roles, including Consumer Programme Office Manager, Programme Manager, and Design & Development Engineer. During their time at BT, they worked on high-profile IT projects and managed teams to achieve project goals. Marcus left BT in 2013 through voluntary redundancy.

In 2016, Marcus joined Massive Interactive as a Senior Project Manager, leading projects to deliver online video streaming services. Marcus later became the Project Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing a portfolio of client project deliveries and a team of Project Managers.

In 2021, Marcus moved to Deltatre, where they became the Project Portfolio Manager | Video Experiences. Marcus managed multiple client engagements and ensured the delivery of large-scale digital video solutions for sports and entertainment content service providers. Currently, Marcus is the Head of the Business Analysts Team at Deltatre, overseeing scope management and delivering business value for major client projects.

Marcus Smith has a Master's Degree in BEng (Hons) & MEng in Engineering Electronics from the University of Warwick, obtained from 1989 to 1993. Marcus also holds a Master's Degree in MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of London, obtained from 1995 to 2000. Marcus has an APMP Qualification (IPMA Level D) from the Association of Project Management, completed in 2006. In 2014, they acquired several awards and qualifications in chainsaw maintenance, tree felling, and brush-cutter operation from City & Guilds and LANTRA Award. Additionally, Marcus obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance in 2020.
