Tiaravanni Hermawan is a seasoned researcher specializing in flood and drought risk management at Deltares since March 2016, focusing on drought risk management and reservoir optimization. Previously, Tiaravanni served as a Climate Change Officer for UNDP, where involvement in campaigns for the 1.5 degrees target at COP 21 in Paris was prominent. Experience includes an internship at DHI Water & Environment, conducting strategic environmental assessments, and work as a Cultural Ambassador for UNESCO. Tiaravanni's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Hydroinformatics and Water Management from Newcastle University and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Notable research includes a Master thesis on hydroeconomic optimization of reservoirs, submitted to ASCE.
