Anthea Shen has a strong background in software engineering and research. Anthea currently holds the position of Senior Staff Software Engineer at Delphix, where they began in May 2021. Prior to that, Anthea worked at VMware as a Staff Engineer from May 2018 to April 2021. Anthea also has experience as a Platform Software Engineer at RR Donnelley from July 2016 to April 2018, where they worked on marketing software products for Fortune 500 companies. Anthea was a Software Engineer at Cisco from March 2014 to June 2016, contributing to a complex enterprise project for a major retail store. Anthea started their career as a Software Engineer at MobiTV, where they developed a mobile application for live streaming TV content. Anthea also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Chicago from August 2011 to December 2013, conducting experiments and analyzing the properties of nanostructured semiconductor and conductive polymer samples.

Anthea Shen completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fudan University between 2002 and 2006. Anthea went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2006 to 2011.
