Demian Potter serves as the IT Director for Artificial Intelligence at Dell EMC since August 2017, where leadership is focused on the AI and Machine Learning Cross Sector team, aiming to identify Product/Market fit for AI and generate business opportunities. Previously, Demian held the position of Artificial Intelligence Engineer II at Masimo from September 2014 to July 2017, applying advanced machine learning and NLP models to enhance clinical decision support systems using health records and wearable devices. Earlier experience includes a role as a Deep Learning Engineer Intern at Bosch USA from May 2011 to April 2014, developing data pipelines and algorithms for improved object detection, and a Software Engineer Intern position at Insight Data Science from August 2009 to April 2011, where efficiencies in machine learning labeling were enhanced. Demian's academic foundation includes a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, completed between 2000 and 2004, along with research assistance at the same institution from May 2007 to April 2009.
