Alex Luijten

Phd Candidate - Aerospace Structures & Materials at Delft University of Technology

Alex Luijten is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Structures & Materials at Delft University of Technology since July 2024. Prior to this role, Alex gained significant experience at Antefil Composite Tech from September 2020 to June 2024, serving as a Process Engineer and conducting research for a master's thesis on polymeric flash nanoprecipitation. Alex worked at ETH Zürich from November 2015 to March 2022 in various capacities, including Scientific Assistant and Teaching Assistant, focusing on coaching students and developing projects in mechanical engineering. Additionally, Alex held a position as a Mechanical Engineer at 9T Labs, focusing on printhead development, and completed an internship at Kreier Mechanik, gaining hands-on experience with CNC milling machines and robotics. Alex's academic background includes a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich and a Gymnasiale Maturität from Kantonsschule Freudenberg.
