Bharti Balu's work experience includes holding various roles in human resources at different companies. In 2001, Balu started as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Campton Place Hotel, where they partnered with leaders to deliver HR strategies and programs and maintained employee records. From 2004 to 2014, Balu worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Provident Credit Union, where they led daily operations, managed benefits programs, and partnered with senior leadership on workforce plans. From 2014 to 2016, Balu served as a Senior Manager of Human Resources at MarkLogic, overseeing compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR information systems. Balu then joined Stanford Health Care as a Manager of Human Resources Operations, providing strategic direction and implementing policies and procedures. From 2017 to 2019, Balu worked as the Director of Human Resources for AMER & APAC at Ivalua, developing and implementing HR strategies. From 2019 to 2022, Balu held the position of Director of Human Resources Shared Services at Vituity, aligning business objectives and leading People Operations strategies. Currently, Balu is the Director of Human Resources Shared Services at Delek US Holdings, Inc.

Bharti Balu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from the San Francisco State University, Lam Family College of Business, during the period of 2000 to 2001.
