Marshall Porter has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Technical Support Specialist at Objective Interface Systems. In 2012, they joined Cerner as a Software Engineer before transitioning to L-3 Communications as a Software Engineer II in 2013. At L-3 Communications, Marshall worked on a suite of applications for configuring, controlling, and monitoring satellite modems. Marshall also implemented software DevOps practices and aided senior engineers with platform updates for embedded VxWorks targets.
In 2015, Marshall joined Lytx as a Software Engineer, where they created a customizable platform framework targeting .NET Core 1.x. Marshall heavily relied on technologies like NancyFx, Redis, NLog, and Dapper.
From 2017 to 2020, Marshall worked at CoStar Group as a Senior Software Developer. Here, they created new user interfaces to display commercial property analytic data and developed C# APIs for data slicing and caching. Marshall also utilized React components, Redux, and RxJs middleware for client-side data management. Additionally, Marshall added features to legacy Knockout and ASP platforms.
Most recently, Marshall joined Delart in 2020 as a Senior Software Developer where they continue to contribute their expertise.
Marshall Porter completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, starting in the year 2004 and graduating in 2008. Marshall also obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in March 2023.
