Peter Sommer has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Peter started their career as an Industriekaufmann at Marquardt Kunststoffwerk GmbH & Co. KG in 2003, where they worked until 2005. Peter then joined the Würth Group as an Außendienstmitarbeiter from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they worked as a Studentische Hilfskraft at IHK Saarland from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, they joined KPMG Luxembourg as a Manager Audit, German Asset Management, and worked there until 2018. Peter then transitioned to DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale as a Compliance employee from 2018 to 2019. From 2019 to 2023, they served as the Chief Compliance Officer at Deka International S.A. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Compliance at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, starting in 2023.

Peter Sommer attended Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes Saarbrücken from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
