Grant Mori has a diverse work experience, starting as a Trainee Accountant at Deloitte in 2004. Grant worked there for three years, gaining experience in financial accounting, auditing, management accounting, taxation, commercial law, and information systems. Grant then progressed to roles of increasing responsibility at Deloitte, becoming a Manager in 2007 and a Senior Manager in 2011. Grant was responsible for client service, business unit profitability, and financial management, working with clients ranging from multinational corporations to owner-managed businesses.

In 2015, Grant Mori joined RDC Property Group as the Chief Financial Officer. Grant led the Finance and Administration functions, supporting the growth of the Group and RDC Properties, a listed property company. Grant ensured stakeholder protection and more than doubled income distribution during their tenure.

In 2020, Grant Mori moved to MORiStrategy as a Portfolio CFO, where they worked until 2021 and then joined Deimos as the Chief Financial Officer of Deimos Cloud, a cloud native developer and security operations company.

Grant Mori attended St Andrew's College, Grahamstown from 1995 to 1998, and Old Boys' Paul Roos Gymnasium in 1999. However, no degrees or fields of study were specified for these institutions. In 2000, they enrolled at Stellenbosch University and completed a degree in Hons B Accounting, specializing in Accounting, in 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Grant obtained the Chartered Accountant qualification from SAICA CA(SA) in March 2007 and the Chartered Accountant / Business & Finance Professional designation from ICAEW in February 2021.
