Aravind R. has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Aravind'smost recent role was as the Director of Web Platforms at Defense Media Activity, where they were responsible for overseeing web platforms. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief of Infrastructure and Operations, where they led IT infrastructure, software, and cloud projects.

Before joining Defense Media Activity, Aravind worked at GEICO for a significant amount of time. Aravind held various roles within the company, including Senior Manager of Claims Architecture, Microservices, and Document Services, where they were responsible for strategic architecture and re-engineering initiatives. Aravind also served as Senior Manager of Claims DevOps, Claims Architecture, and Document Services, leading DevOps initiatives within IT Claims.

In addition, Aravind served as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at GEICO, where they managed the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's Enterprise Content Management Platform and Managed File Transfers. Aravind was also responsible for managing COTS Applications and implementing managed file transfers using MOVEit.

Earlier in their career, Aravind held leadership positions at High Tower Software, iWay Software, SAP Ariba, eFORCE, and CSC, where they gained valuable experience in product development, software engineering, and system integration.

Overall, Aravind R. has a strong background in IT management, strategic architecture, software engineering, and team leadership.

Aravind R. pursued their education in Computer Science. Aravind obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from PSG College of Arts and Science in 1994. Aravind further enhanced their knowledge in the field by completing a Master's degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University between 1995 and 1997.

Apart from their formal education, Aravind has also acquired several additional certifications. These include the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certifications from Microsoft, obtained in July 2023. Aravind also holds the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)², obtained in June 2023. Other certifications include Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, all from Microsoft and obtained between 2022 and 2023. Aravind has also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in June 2022.

In terms of non-technical certifications, Aravind holds the CPCU in Good Standing certification from The Institutes, obtained in March 2021, as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification from The Institutes, obtained in the same month and year. Aravind has also completed the Mastering Management Essentials program from ExecOnline in August 2020 and is certified in CPR & AED from the American Heart Association since April 2019. In the field of project management, they hold the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in February 2018, and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, obtained in January 2007.
