Sharon Boland is an experienced professional with a diverse background in management and strategy. Currently serving as the Rocky Mountain & Great Plains Coordinator at Defenders of Wildlife since October 2013, Sharon played a key role in establishing the new regional headquarters in Denver and manages the OPEX budget. Prior to this, Sharon had a 21-year tenure at Microsoft, where roles included General Manager of Diversity Strategy, where a strategic 5-year gender diversity initiative was undertaken, and General Manager positions overseeing large teams and driving significant revenue in Premier Field Engineering and Premier Industry Solutions. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, completed between 1982 and 1985.
