James Supreme currently serves as Vice President of A&R at Def Jam Recordings, a position held since May 2023. With a rich background in the music industry, James has managed projects and arranged key placements for notable artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, 6lack, and Lil Nas X since May 2017 at Bizness Boi. Previously, at Universal Music Publishing Group from April 2018 to April 2021, James signed acclaimed songwriters and produced historic sessions, resulting in tracks like ā€œPaniniā€ and ā€œLegends.ā€ Earlier experience includes providing support for G-Eazy at The Revels Group during the creation of the acclaimed album, When Itā€™s Dark Out. James holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Georgia State University, earned between 2011 and 2015.
