Carter Hickman has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2023.

In 2014, they worked as a Construction Worker at Dan Hickman Construction, where they gained experience in various aspects of general construction such as framing, plumbing work, painting, demo work, insulating, furniture building, roofing, and more. Carter continued in this role until June 2017.

Parallel to their construction work, in 2016, Carter also served as a Campus Tour Guide for Ohio University from March to August 2016.

In 2017, Carter joined Babcock & Wilcox as a Controls Engineer from September 2017 to January 2018.

That same year, they also worked as a Student Researcher at Ohio University, where they conducted research in the field of innovative dynamic voltage and frequency scaling within neural networks on computer chips. Carter worked under an Ohio University professor and collaborated with graduate and undergraduate students. This role lasted from May to September 2017.

Starting from 2019, Carter worked at Roto as an Associate Engineer, specializing in developing and installing interactive exhibits for science centers and museums across America. Carter'sresponsibilities included creating electrical schematics, programming microcontrollers, designing and programming large-scale custom LED shows, creating audiovisual systems/networks, and developing show controller scripts. Carter also closely collaborated with mechanical engineers, software developers, media developers, designers, artists, and project managers. Carter held this role until November 2021.

From November 2021 to September 2022, Carter continued at Roto as an Exhibit Engineer. Carter'swork involved the same responsibilities as in their previous role, but with added experience and expertise.

Lastly, starting in May 2023, Carter held the position of Creative Technologist at Deeplocal. No end date is provided for this role.

Carter Hickman pursued their education at Ohio University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Engineering Track.
