Nicolas Smotek is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital technology and user experience, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Global DTC Digital Technology at Deckers Brands since December 2003. Over the years, Nicolas has held various positions, including Global Director of Digital Technology and UX and Director of Omni Digital Technology and User Experience - NA, contributing significantly to front-end development and user interaction through the application of technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Nicolas's expertise also encompasses team management, mentoring, and establishing best practices within development teams. Prior to this, Nicolas worked as a Freelance Web Designer and held multiple roles at Slednecks Inc., focusing on user experience design. Nicolas holds a degree in Visual Communications, Design and Computer Imaging from Northern Arizona University, completed in 2004.
