Melanie Pars, PhD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Melanie is currently working as the Director, Medical Lead DACH at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Medical Affairs at Adrenomed AG from August 2020 to August 2021. From October 2016 to July 2020, Melanie held the role of Manager Medical Affairs Strategy & Operational Excellence at Takeda Oncology. Before that, they worked at Novartis in various roles including Field Based Medical Advisor Oncology, Medical Advisor Dermatology, and Medical Trainee from 2011 to 2016. Melanie also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London in 2006, a Research Fellow at Cambridge Cancer Centre and Gurdon Institute in 2005, and a Research Fellow at Charité in 2004.

Melanie Pars, PhD, MBA, holds a Doctorate in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Virology from Freie Universität Berlin, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed a Diplom in Molecular Biology at the same institution from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, Melanie participated in an exchange program at the University of Cambridge from 2004 to 2005, focusing on Biology and Genetics. In 2019, they pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at the Quantic School of Business and Technology, which they completed in 2020.
