Michael Vredevoogd has a diverse work experience starting from 2011. Michael worked as a Science Teacher at Aurora Public Schools from 2011 to 2015, and then as a Physics Teacher at Adams 12 Five Star Schools from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Consultant, Business Analytics at Oniqua Intelligent MRO from March to August. Later in 2017, they joined Decentrix Inc. as a Data Scientist, and was promoted to Senior Data Scientist in August 2019. In their roles at Decentrix Inc., they worked on applying Machine Learning to prediction problems and providing optimization-based recommendations for business decisions. Additionally, Michael Vredevoogd has also worked as an Adjunct Professor and Science Teaching Fellow at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2009 to 2016.

Michael Vredevoogd completed their Master of Business Analytics degree from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business in 2017. Previously, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geophysics from the University of California, Riverside, from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Sciences from the University of Southern California from 1994 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Vredevoogd has obtained certifications. Michael received the MTA: Introduction to Programming Using Python certification from Microsoft in June 2018 and the Exam 761: Querying Data with Transact-SQL certification from Microsoft in November 2017.
