Laura van Helmond currently serves as Chairperson for the Dutch Schools Debate College, overseeing the foundation's operations, finances, educational quality, and a volunteer team of about 12. In addition, Laura holds the position of Coaching Director, managing logistics, public relations, fundraising, and curriculum quality for the Dutch national debate selection. Laura also provides debate education as a Debat Docent at Wolfert van Borselen scholengroep and serves as a Debat Trainer and Coach for DebatUnie. Previously, Laura worked as an Onderwijsassistent at Lyceo. Laura is pursuing a degree in International Studies with a focus on South and Southeast Asia at Leiden University and is undertaking a minor in Sustainability, Climate Change, and Food at Leiden University College The Hague. Additional academic experience includes an exchange program at Symbiosis International University and completion of gymnasium at Willibrord Gymnasium.
