Darlene Tusa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Darlene initially started their career at Liant Software as a Manufacturing Manager, where they worked from 1989 to 1995. After that, they joined Page Southerland Page as an Accounting Manager from 1994 to 2000. In 2001, they joined Deaton Engineering, Inc as the Vice President of Accounting/Finance. Later in 2006, they became the Owner of Giggles Learning Center, LLC until August 2019.

Darlene Tusa completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Texas McCombs School of Business during the period of 1983 to 1985. Before that, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Austin Community College between 1979 and 1982. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Texas Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in October 2012.
