Caleb Carlin is an experienced programmer and researcher currently serving as a Programmer at DCI Solutions since September 2019 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the U.S. Army CCDC Army Research Laboratory since May 2016. In this latter role, Caleb specializes in developing a standalone program in Python for generating and manipulating crystalline interfaces, which includes capabilities for quantum mechanics (QM) and molecular mechanics (MM) calculations, as well as analyzing trans-interfacial electron transport properties and implementing a Gaussian process regressor for identifying cleavage paths in interface structures. Caleb holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Chemistry from Iowa State University, where studies were conducted from August 2009 to May 2016, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Michigan Tech, completed in 2009.
