Fong Do

Project Engineer at DCI Engineers

Fong Do has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. They started their career as a Mitek Designer at Trussrite, where they were responsible for modeling, designing, and detailing roof truss structures and posi-floor truss systems. After that, Fong Do worked as a Project Manager at POSCO E&C VIETNAM, where they supported, coordinated, and controlled various projects, including Formosa Dormitory, Hot Rolling Steel Mill, and Raw Material Handling System. Following their time at POSCO, Fong Do worked as a self-employed Medical Interpreter and tax consultant. In 2021, they joined Integrated Design Engineers as a Design Engineer, assisting the Design Manager/Principal on analysis, design, and construction support of various structures. Currently, Fong Do is a Project Engineer at DCI Engineers, where they work on designing different types of structures and utilizing company design tools and finite element applications.

Fong Do has a strong educational background in structural and civil engineering. They began their academic journey in 2003 at the University of Architecture Saigon, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. This degree was earned in 2008 after completing a five-year program.

To further their knowledge and skills in engineering, Fong pursued an Associate's degree at Shoreline Community College from 2018 to 2019. This program focused on general engineering principles and provided a foundation for their future studies.

Currently, Fong is in the process of completing a Master's degree in Structural Engineering at Seattle University. They started this program in 2019 and are expected to graduate in March 2021. This course of study specializes in the analysis and design of structural systems, providing Fong with advanced expertise in this field.

In addition to their formal education, Fong has obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) in February 2021. This certification recognizes their competence and qualifying them to work as an engineer in training.

Overall, Fong Do has demonstrated a strong commitment to their education and professional development in the fields of structural and civil engineering.
