Moe Bataineh

Sr. Lead Data Scientist at DCCA

Moe Bataineh has held various roles throughout their work experience. They began their career as a Machine Learning Scientist at the University of Iowa in 2010, where they conducted research in data science. In 2014, they became a Data Science Researcher at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, furthering their expertise in the field. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Assistant Research Professor at the University of Houston.

In 2017, Moe Bataineh took on the position of Risk Analytics Manager at Newton Insurance, where they focused on analyzing and managing risk. The following year, in 2018, they founded their own company, Alma Tech Services, as the Founder and CEO. Alma Tech Services specialized in providing consultation services in the field of AI and machine learning, helping clients make data-driven decisions and develop advanced analytics products.

From 2016 to 2019, Moe Bataineh worked at Humana, first as a Senior/Lead Data Scientist and later as the Cognitive Machine Learning Lead. In these roles, they played a key role in leading and implementing machine learning and AI initiatives within the company.

Most recently, Moe Bataineh joined DCCA in 2020 as the Sr. Lead Data Scientist, where they continue to utilize their expertise in data science and machine learning.

Moe Bataineh has a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa. They also hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering Simulation & Modeling, also from the University of Iowa.

Additionally, Moe Bataineh has obtained several certifications including Microsoft Azure Cloud & Databricks from Microsoft in October 2019, Building a Data Science Team from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs in February 2019, Machine Learning with TensorFlow on Google Cloud Platform from Google Cloud Platform Certified in February 2019, Machine Learning & Deep Learning from CATALIT in December 2018, Microsoft Professional Program : Data Science Orientation from Microsoft in December 2017, Big Data Foundations, Hadoop, Python, and Spark Fundamentals from IBM in March 2017, and Applied Analytics Using SAS Enterprise Miner from SAS in May 2016.
