Marcus Wearing-Smith has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various industries. Marcus started their career at Thiess as a Construction Manager, where they worked on a major project for BHP Billiton. Marcus then worked as a Port Services Officer at Fremantle Ports before becoming the Property and Assets Manager at Dome Cafe Group. Marcus also worked as a Construction Contractor for Drehtainer, where they provided armoured protection facilities to NATO aligned armed forces in Afghanistan. Marcus later joined Direct Energy Australia as the National General Manager and eventually became the Managing Director of the company. Currently, Marcus is the Managing Director (Australia) at DC PRO Engineering, where they focus on integrating the work of Direct Energy Australia with the engineering skills of DC Pro Engineering to develop district energy systems for Australian major projects.
