M. Kate Lee currently serves as the Director of the Office of Urban Agriculture at the DC Department of Energy and Environment and Co-Chair of the Urban Agriculture Working Group at the DC Food Policy Council, both positions held since March 2020. M. Kate Lee is also employed as the Farm Director and Rooting DC Event Coordinator for DC Greens, roles occupied since March 2014. Previous experience includes ownership of the Capital City Farm Company from February 2012 to December 2014, and serving as Farm Manager for Common Good City Farm in 2011. M. Kate Lee has also held positions as a Garden Assistant at the Washington Youth Garden and an Intern at the Smithsonian Greenhouses in 2011, as well as founding Garden City Organics from October 2008 to December 2010.
