Linnea Dyer Hegarty has extensive experience in development and fundraising roles. Linnea most recently worked as the Director of Events, Exhibits & Development at the DC Public Library, where they started in September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Development at the same institution from March 2018 to September 2020.

Before joining the DC Public Library, Hegarty worked as the Executive Director of the DC Public Library Foundation from November 2011 to March 2018. Linnea also held the position of Director of Development at the Alliance for Climate Protection from November 2009 to December 2011.

Linnea Dyer Hegarty completed their Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Oglethorpe University, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Prior to attending Oglethorpe University, they also attended Mt Juliet High School, but the exact years and any degrees or fields of study related to that education are not specified.
