Jessica Smoot is an experienced professional currently serving as the Assistant Manager at the DC Public Library since April 2023. Prior to this role, Jessica held the position of Ports Coordinator at Ocean Conservancy from June 2022 to April 2023 and worked as a Program Coordinator for the Metropolitan Tennis and Education Group from February 2019 to February 2022. Jessica's academic background includes a Master's degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, both obtained from Rutgers University - Newark. Additional experience includes roles as Acting Hall Director, Research Assistant, and various research positions in educational and nonprofit settings.
