Derek So is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in data management, finance systems, and regulatory reporting. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Finance - Data Management at DBS Bank since May 2012, Derek has successfully established a new data management team and framework in Hong Kong Finance. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance - Finance Systems and Projects at the same institution, where responsibility included managing change governance for the finance sector. Derek's career also includes significant roles at Macquarie Group as Associate Director in Asia Finance and at UBS Investment Bank, where Derek advanced from Associate Director to Executive Director, contributing to the establishment and coordination of finance functions and regulatory reporting across the Asia Pacific region. Derek holds a Master of Science in Finance from City University of Hong Kong.
