Polina Ikonomova, ACCA, has an extensive background in finance and controlling, currently serving as the Head of Finance & Controlling at DB Schenker since December 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Japan Tobacco International (JTI) as Finance Manager and Finance Planning & Analysis Manager from June 2014 to April 2020, and at EY, where Polina progressed from Audit Intern to Audit Senior between October 2011 and June 2014. Initial exposure to the finance industry included a brief graduation project at Elan SBI Capital Partners and an internship in the Strategic Sourcing Department at Diversey Inc. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business Management with a major in International Finance & Accounting from Hanze, an exchange semester in International Management at Rennes School of Business, and a secondary education in Economics, Management and Trade from the National Trade and Banking High School.
