Benjamin Sanders has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2006 with the founding and CEO role of Next-Generation Tour. Benjamin then held the position of Senior Mad Scientist at Mad Science of Montreal and Ottawa in 2007. In 2008, Benjamin founded and served as CEO of Blueprint for a Sustainable World. In 2009, they took on the role of Bike Specialist at Mountain Equipment Co-op. In 2010, Benjamin joined the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) as an Associate, and also joined the founding team and served as VP of Business Development at Presto. From 2013 to 2017, Benjamin worked as Senior Business Development Advisor, Technology & Telecommunications at Yukon Government, where they co-founded and inspired broad community support for Whitehorse-based Makerspace, partnered with Lighthouse Labs to establish Canada's first remote web development bootcamp, and partnered with Spring Activator to establish Canada's first remote entrepreneurial bootcamp. Finally, in 2015, Benjamin co-founded Clearco, and in 2017 they became Co-Founder & CEO of Proof. In 2022, they will take on the role of Vice President of Business Development at Daylight.

Benjamin Sanders began their educational journey in 2001 when they attended the University of Ottawa to study Philosophy. In 2002, they transferred to the University of Waterloo and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science with Option in International Studies in Electrical Engineering in 2007. From 2005 to 2006, they attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) for Engineering. In 2015, they obtained a Web Development Bootcamp from Lighthouse Labs. In 2017, they obtained a Startup School from Y Combinator. Finally, in 2019, they obtained Alumni status from Techstars and Creative Destruction Lab.
