James Matera currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at CentraState Healthcare System, a position held since May 2013, and also operates as the Medical Director for the Health Awareness Center and Population Health. Additional roles include Codirector of physician integration and Medical Director at DaVita SOURCE since January 2014, as well as self-employed contractor focused on End Stage Renal Disease management since November 2017. Previously, James was a nephrologist at Nephrology and Hypertension Associates from July 1994 to November 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University, a Master of Science in Neuropharmacology from Seton Hall University, and a Healthcare Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
