Jason Karvelot has extensive experience in meteorology, currently serving as the Resident Meteorologist at Davis Instruments since February 1998. Responsibilities include evaluating the quality of weather instrument products, developing the NIST traceability program, and ensuring compliance with WMO/NOAA standards. Jason has also contributed to product development, including the Davis forecast algorithm, and authored articles for the company newsletter. Prior roles include End of Voyage Specialist at Weathernews, where Jason prepared ship performance reports based on weather conditions, and Weather Segment Producer/Intern at KHIZ-TV Channel 64, focusing on daily forecasts and improving newscast presentations. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from San Jose State University.
