Wendy Weitzel is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in journalism, marketing, and public relations. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Davis Farmers Market since November 2017, Weitzel has also worked as a communications consultant since April 2013, utilizing expertise in storytelling and audience engagement. Notably, Weitzel held various positions at The Davis Enterprise from 1998 to 2024, including columnist and managing editor, overseeing editorial operations and shaping the newspaper's visual identity. Previous roles include communications officer at UC Davis, assisting the president at Technology Sciences Group Inc., and editorial positions at The Record, Appeal-Democrat, and The Press-Tribune. Wendy Weitzel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University-Sacramento.
