Adam Friedman

Senior Director of Programs at David Lynch Foundation

After a fun but ultimately unfulfilling career as an advertising copywriter, Adam left the corporate world to work for a series of social service providers that help homeless individuals, formerly incarcerated men and women, domestic violence survivors, and individuals receiving welfare benefits. While he did witness some amazing transformations, he found that many well-intentioned social service interventions fail to lead to positive outcomes. He concluded that a main reason is that they do not adequately address the effects of traumatic experiences that have shaped many of their clients' lives. Adam believes that Transcendental Meditation works like a magic wand to address trauma and could be the missing link to help social service providers affect lasting change in a greater percentage of the people they serve. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this effort.
