Peter O'Farrell currently serves as a Social Studies Teacher for 7th and 8th grades at Ron Russell Middle School within the David Douglas School District since August 2019. Previous experience includes roles as Interim Country Director for Mercy Corps in both a one-month and six-week capacity, providing support to the Nepal team. Peter O'Farrell has also worked as a student teacher in Portland Public Schools and held coaching positions in basketball. With consulting roles for organizations such as the Near East Foundation and Catholic Relief Services, Peter O'Farrell has led program design and proposal writing projects. A background in emergency management as a Disaster Resilience Planner for the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management further complements Peter O'Farrell's skill set. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University-Portland and dual bachelor's degrees in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Tulane University.
