Ulf Schubert has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience and design. Ulf started their career in 2000 as the Managing Partner and CEO of openeyes - medical usability. From there, they went on to work as a University Lecturer in Usability at Technische Universität Ilmenau, and later as a Deputy Team Lead User Experience at SirValUse. In 2006, Ulf worked as a freelancer in Medical Usability and Interface Design. Ulf also contributed to the field through their blog, ux-blog.de. Ulf joined Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm as a University Lecturer in User Centered Design in 2010 and again in 2012. Ulf also held the position of Head of User Experience at DATEV eG from 2012 to 2019, before becoming the Director of UX & Touchpoint Design. Alongside their professional roles, Ulf founded the Experience Leadership Club in 2021. Currently, they are a University Lecturer at Deggendorf Institute of Technology, specializing in Usability & UX Professional BASIC.

Ulf Schubert obtained their Diplom Media Designer degree from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar between 1996 and 2001. Ulf'sfield of study focused on media design, interface design, and usability.
