Lily Tian has a diverse work experience starting in 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Project Manager at Warwick Behavioural Insights Team, where they managed team scheduling, staff, recruiting, and marketing for the 2019 Behavioural Science Summit. In 2019, they transitioned to a Data Engineer role at Optalitix, where they implemented data warehouse solutions on GCP and Microsoft Azure, developed data streaming pipelines, constructed and managed cloud infrastructure, created monitoring and alerting systems, and provided IT and database support. Lily also hosted internal data engineering training sessions. In 2021, they joined Contingent as a Software Engineer and worked until 2023. Currently, Lily Tian is working as a Data Engineer at Datatonic, starting in 2023.

Lily Tian has a strong educational background in economics and behavioral and economic science. Lily obtained a Master's degree in Behavioral and Economics Science from the University of Warwick in 2018-2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from both the University of Groningen (2016-2018) and Fudan University (2014-2018). Lily also participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at the University of Southampton in 2017-2018, focusing on Economics.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Lily has pursued further certifications. Lily completed a course on Machine Learning from Stanford University in August 2019 and obtained the certification of Associate Cloud Engineer from Google in June 2020.
