Juan Calvo Ferrándiz has a diverse background in data engineering, data analysis, product management, and architecture.

Their most recent role was as a Data Engineer at Datatonic, where they specialized in creating end-to-end solutions for enterprise-scale projects using big data processing frameworks and Google Cloud technologies. Juan excelled in interpreting client requirements, managing budgets, and prioritizing project aspects strategically.

Prior to that, Juan worked as a Data Analyst and Engineer at Quota Jalvo, where they utilized Python programming for data analytics and ETL development. Juan also created a custom geolocation data analysis app, established API connections, and deployed software on the Google Cloud Platform.

Juan also has experience as a Data Analyst at Mcreif | Amazon Experts Agency, where they examined data from Amazon Seller Central, developed predictive models, and designed an internal API. Additionally, they co-founded a startup called glauco estudio, serving as a product manager and software developer for the Passivlink project.

In the field of architecture, Juan worked as a BIM specialist at ESTUDIO JALVO, focusing on automating BIM processes using the Revit API and creating predictive regression models. Juan also collaborated with IAAA, contributing to the coordination of program databases for a hospital project.

Juan Calvo Ferrándiz has a diverse education history. In 1999, they obtained a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge, followed by a Merit International Certificate of Secondary Education in 2001. In 2004, they received a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the same university.

Moving on to their formal education, from 2004 to 2013, Juan attended Politénica CEU, where they pursued a degree in Architecture. This degree was co-validated to a Master in Architecture under the Bologna Plan.

In 2010, Juan participated in a workshop titled "LEARNING FROM BILBAO Urban Regeneration In Post-Industrial Cities" at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

To further specialize their skill set, Juan enrolled in various master's programs. In 2014-2015, they completed a Master Specialized in Revit (BIM) and Sustainable Architecture at CICE Escuela Profesional de Nuevas Tecnologías. During the same year, they also obtained the Passivhaus Expert Designer certification from the Passive House Institute.

More recently, Juan attended datahack school in 2019-2020, where they pursued a Master in Big Data & Data Science degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Juan has acquired multiple certifications from Google and Coursera. These certifications include the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect and Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, both from Google, obtained in 2023 and 2022 respectively. Juan also completed several courses on Google Cloud Platform and its applications in data analytics and machine learning. Additionally, Juan obtained certifications related to building resilient streaming analytics systems, building batch data pipelines, and modernizing data lakes and data warehouses on GCP from Coursera in 2020. Furthermore, they achieved the Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals certification from Coursera in 2019. Lastly, Juan obtained a professional diploma in REVIT from Autodesk in 2015.
