Ian Penrose is an experienced executive with a diverse background in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Senior Independent Director at Playtech since September 2018, Penrose also holds non-executive director positions at IXUP Limited, Weatherbys Ltd, and Phenix Real Time Solutions, while chairing the board at DataPOWA. Previously, Penrose led Sportech as Chief Executive from October 2005 to December 2017, successfully transforming the company into a £225 million valued entity. Additionally, Penrose was Chief Executive at Arena Leisure Plc from August 1998 to October 2005, establishing the UK's largest horseracing and media group. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Management Sciences from The University of Manchester.
