Prior to their role at Dataminr, Rajib was a Product Manager and Co-Founder of Socialie, a cross-platform enterprise social media content distribution application. Rajib led the product management of this fully bootstrapped venture and successfully launched customer and influencer mobile web applications used by pro athletes, pro sports teams, high-profile celebrities, enterprise companies, and leading international brands.
Rajib also has experience as a Project Engineer at Boeing, where they worked on the R&D Modernization Team. Their responsibilities included developing software applications and prototyping algorithms for automotive radar systems. Before that, they worked as an Astrophysics Research Assistant at Geco Laboratory, Columbia University, where they contributed to the LIGO Optical Timing Distribution System.
Rajib's work experience also includes being a Cancer Research Assistant at the Dunbrack Group Protein Modeling Laboratory in Fox Chase Cancer Center. During their tenure, they programmed and wrote scripts for statistical analysis and investigated protein structures using molecular visualization systems.

Rajib Mitra attended Columbia University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Rajib then pursued further studies at Cornell University from 2012 to 2015, obtaining a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Systems Engineering.
