Dominic Roarty has worked at multiple companies throughout their career. Dominic started their professional journey in 2010 at Watson Farley & Williams, where they worked as a Solicitor until 2013. Dominic then joined ITN in 2014 as an Assistant News Editor and Producer for ITV News until 2015. In 2015, Dominic joined Dataminr as a Senior Manager, and later held the positions of Director, Content Engineering from 2018 to 2022, and Senior Director, Alerting Operations from 2022 onwards. Additionally, they also volunteered at The Listening Place starting in November 2020.

Dominic Roarty has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Birmingham, obtained from 2005 to 2008. Dominic pursued further education by completing a Legal Practice Course in Law at the College of Law, Birmingham, from 2009 to 2010. Dominic later obtained a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from City, University of London, spanning from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dominic Roarty also obtained a certification in "Python for Managers" from Emeritus in March 2022.
