Kivanc Semen is the co-founder and co-CEO of DataGuard, a data security company. Prior to DataGuard, they were the CEO of GEKES GmbH, a software development company.

Kivanc Semen has a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering and Management from KIT. Kivanc also has a Bachelor Thesis in Combining Agile Software Development with CMMI in Small Settings from Carnegie Mellon University. Lastly, they did an Erasmus in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
