Duan's earlier roles include Senior Data Engineer at Digital Defense, Inc., and various positions at Pioneer Energy Services that showcased expertise in data engineering and software development. Duan's educational background includes a Master of Geoscience from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
