Matt Hunter's work experience starts in 2012 as an intern at EEI Engineers. Matt also worked as a valet at Canlis Restaurant before moving on to Luma Technologies, where they had a diverse role as a mechanical engineer. In 2014, they joined BURN Design Lab as a design engineer, specializing in improved cookstoves. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a mechanical engineer at Synsor, contributing to cost savings and improved efficiency. Since 2017, Matt has been with Data I/O, initially as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer and currently as a Quality Manager. In their current role, they implement process improvements, reduces rework, and manages company metrics.
Matt Hunter graduated from the University of Washington in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In 2019, Matt received the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from ETI Group USA. Recently, in April 2022, they obtained the ASQ - Certified Quality Engineer certification from ASQ - World Headquarters. It is not specified when or where they obtained the EIT certification.
