David Gartner's work experience starts in 2000 at Foundation Technologies, where they worked as a Chief Technician. David was responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting networking equipment and Linux-based servers. David also provided network support and administration, and offered 24/7/365 pager support for the entire customer base. David then moved on to McDowell County Schools in 2007, where they worked as a Technology Technician. In this role, they ensured the continuous availability of technology hardware through routine maintenance, upgrades, and timely repairs. David also performed regular software updates and utilized imaging software to ensure continuous application availability. Additionally, David designed and implemented various solutions, such as a Linux file-sharing system and a Microsoft Access inventory system for tracking technology assets. David provided computer/network troubleshooting and repair instruction to small groups of students and administered Novell NetWare and Novell GroupWise. David's most recent position is with DartPoints, where they have held multiple roles since 2012. David'smost recent role, starting in November 2018, is as an Infrastructure Services Engineer.
David Gartner has an extensive education history. David earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University in 2018. Prior to that, they completed an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Networking Technologies from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in 2012.
In addition to their degrees, David has obtained several certifications. These include the VMware Certified Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware in April 2019, the Zerto Certified Professional - Basic from Zerto in August 2018, the EMC Academic Associate from Dell EMC in July 2017, the CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in November 2016, the Red Hat Certified System Administrator from Red Hat in April 2016, and the Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in March 2004.
