Susan Taffe Reed is the Assistant Dean at Dartmouth College. Susan was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Music Department at Bowdoin College from July 2013 to December 2015, where they conducted research, wrote, and taught ethnomusicology courses. From January 2011 to December 2013, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they taught courses in Music and American Studies to undergraduate university students, and guest lectures and modules to graduate and undergraduate students. Susan was also a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Music at Cornell University from January 2006 to December 2011, where they taught courses in Music and American Indian Studies to undergraduate university students.
Susan Taffe Reed earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from Cornell University, with a minor in American Indian Studies. Susan also holds a Master of Arts in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from Cornell University, with a minor in American Indian Studies. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Music and Native American Studies from Colgate University. Susan also attended the Institute of American Indian Arts.
