Assistant Recruitment Director at The Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center

Asia Pitts has a strong background in community organizing and internships. Asia currently works as an Assistant Recruitment Director at The Direct Action & Research Training (DART) Center since October 2022. Prior to that, they were a Lead Organizer at Justice Unites Savannah Together (FKA SAIJM) from August 2020 to December 2021. In this role, they focused on promoting fair policies and resource allocation related to education, housing, healthcare, jobs, and transportation. Before that, they held the position of Honors Admissions Intern at the Honors College, College of Charleston from August 2018 to August 2020. Asia also has experience as a Summer Intern and Intern at the Middle Tyger Community Center in 2019 and 2018 respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Student Office Intern at College of Charleston Honors from September 2017 to August 2018.

Asia Pitts attended Paul M. Dorman High School from 2012 to 2016, where they completed their high school education. Asia then enrolled at the College of Charleston in 2016 and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree. Asia'smajor was Public Health and International Studies, and they also pursued a minor in Psychology.
